Laboratory facilities:

Differential scanning calorimeter DSC 204 F1 Phoenix with μ-sensor NETZSCH (Germany)

Engineering data:

- temperature range is from -180 to 4000С;
- scanning speed under heating and cooling is 0.001-100 К/min;
- sensitivity limit is 1.0 μW (depending on sensor type);
- plug-in sensors: τ-sensor and high sensitivity μ-sensor;
- device works with various cooling systems:
- cooling with gas or liquid nitrogen;
- air-cooling by air compressor or electro-valve (air under pressure).
- pure gases supply provided (three channels). The device optimized by electrical mass flow control. Individual gases flows (purifying and protective) are controlled with help of the program. Different gases such as nitrogen, helium, air, oxygen, argon etc. may be used;
- Software allows to estimate temperature and calorific effects of phase transitions, heat capacities of samples, to measure in thermomodulated signal;
- samples can be different by nature and sort: liquid and solid; powders, plates, fibres, granules, solutions etc.

Plant for measurement of electroconductivity of electrolyte solutions in temperature range from -40 to 80оС (keeping of temperature precision is 0,01оС). Investigations are performed in two- or three-electrode cells with round plate parallel electrodes from the sheet plate coated with platinum sponge. For automatic resistance (capacity, inductivity) registration, immitance indicator LCR-817 is used.

Differential scanning microcalorimeter Scal 1 is used for studying diluted solutions of proteins and biopolimers in the temperature range from -10 up to 130оС.

Technical features:
- Noise level when calorimetric chamber heating at a speed of 1 К/min is at most 0.25 μВт;
- Repeatability of base line when chamber rasharpening with distilled water during 1 hour of continuous running at the speed of 1 К/min is no more than ±2 μW;
- deviation of base line from averaged one when calorimetric chamber heating at a speed of 1 К/min is no more than  ±5 μW;
- relative error of guided rate heating is within ±2 %;
- relative error of calibration power is within ±0.5 %;
- volume of calorimetric chamber is 0.337 сm3.
