Two young scientists from ISC RAS are among the winners of one of the most prestigious competitions for a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation. Candidate of Chemical Sciences Nataliya G. Bichan, a senior researcher of Laboratory II-3, won a scholarship in the category "Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, Including New Fuel Type Development Issues" for her study "Macroheterocyclic Complexes of Indium as Donor Platforms for Photoactive Molecular System Construction". Nikita A. Vasiliev, a junior researcher and post-graduate student of Laboratory IV-1, received a scholarship in the category "Medical Technologies, Including, First of All, Diagnostic Equipment, and Medication" for his study "Development and Study of Coamorphous Systems for Medical Purposes".
The competition for scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation is held every two years among young scientists involved in advanced research in priority areas of modernization of the Russian economy. Contestants are required to have published their research results in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. The scholarships are financed in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia issued based on the competition results. The scholars are to report the results they have achieved after the completion of each research stage.
