A large article about ISC RAS has been published in the December issue of the Vestnik Khimicheskoi Nauki (Chemical Industry Bulletin). The editors have interviewed Mikhail Kiselev, Director of the Institute, and Andrei Moryganov, Professor, Doctor of Engineering Sciences.
Mikhail Kiselev shared his thoughts about the prospects and problems of import substitution of critical chemical produce, the need for shorter distances between basic science and industrial production, problems of small-scale chemistry and applied science. He also spoke about supercritical fluid technologies - a promising scientific direction of his research group.
Andrei Moryganov told the interviewer about the new direction of applied science, which emerged as early as 1990-s at ISC RAS, - development of methods of mechanochemical modification of flax beaten tow for making fibrous materials with desired properties for producing a wide range of goods for everyday use and engineering and medical applications.
