Nanocomposite materials for corrosion protection: results of the All-Russian Engineering Competition

The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education has announced the results of the All-Russian Engineering Competition, which has been annually held since 2014. Among the winners of the competition is Yulia Dukhova, a student of the Master degree program “Anti-Corrosion Protection of Equipment and Constructions” at Ivanovo State Polytechnic University. One hundred people reached the final of the competition, which was held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The expert commission that assessed the contestants’ performance included heads of the country's leading enterprises, such as Rosatom and Roscosmos, top officials of high-tech corporations and heads of major specialized organizations, general designers and leading scientists.

At the final stage of the competition, Yulia presented her master's thesis on “Ceramic Nanocomposite Coatings for the Protection of Construction Metals from Corrosion,” which was completed at the G.A. Krestov Institute of Solution Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

A Gratitude Diploma from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia was also given to the scientific supervisor – Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor, Chief Researcher at the ISC RAS Elena Pavlovna Grishina.
